Member Benefits: News Update

In a 2006 survey of members, News Update was ranked as the number one benefit of membership. Our bi-monthly newsletter is 16-pages of tips, articles, and resources to help your library supporters! Featuring articles for Friends, Trustees, Foundations, and library staff - there's something for everyone. Each issue also features a "Friends on Campus" article about our Friends in academic settings.

Personal members receive a single subscription to News Update.

Friends Group members receive a single subscription to News Update with the opportunity to purchase up to four additional subscriptions for $20 each for board members. Archived copies of News Update (currently through 2006) are available in the Friends Zone. Additional subscribers are not eligible for member benefits. Library members receive a single subscription to News Update with the opportunity to purchase up to four additional subscriptions for $20 each for library staff. All-in-One members receive four subscriptions to News Update - one each for the Friends president, president of the Trustees, library director, and Foundation contact, if applicable. In addition, All-in-One members can access the electronic version of News Update in the Friends Zone approximately 2-3 weeks before hard copy subscriptions reach mailboxes. This means your full board, all Trustees, and all library staff can read News Update. In addition, All-in-One members can access the full archive of News Update from 2003 through present issues in the Friends Zone.
